You Can Make a Difference!
Psalm 27:10 If my father or mother should abandon me, the Lord would welcome and comfort me (TLB)
Did you know that there is a Psalm of David that says that the Lord will "set the lonely in families"? God's heart is all about family, and He longs to provide "family" for the children that He has created! It is His wonderful desire that all of His little ones "belong"--that they are loved, protected, and taken care of.
So, how can you help the children who don't have a biological family to provide for these things? There are many important things you can do!
SUPPORT ADOPTION
- Consider parenting or parent again!
If you love children and are considering building a family, why not consider adoption? There are so many children waiting for a loving home of their own! "Family" is not exclusively about biological connection, but rather, the true connection that comes from loving relationships.
Whether you are considering first time parenting , or already have children, many of you are especially gifted with the patience, wisdom, and love that it takes to change a child's life. You are gifted to be parents! Whatever the season in your life, why not consider foster care or adoption?
- Tell others your adoption or foster care story!
Sharing your story about adoption or foster care can inspire and open others to the possibility of family through adoption. Coming alongside someone that may have questions or concerns about the adoption process, and providing some gentle encouragement and direction, may be just what's needed for them to take the next step. If you're interested in outreach to others in this way, please let us know.
- Sponsor a family that is adopting--You can help make the journey a reality for someone else! Funds can be used to help cover travel costs or other adoption related expenses!

PRAY
There are many ways to reach out to children in need. Prayer is one of the most effective ways that we can help children who are dealing with uncertainty, sadness, grief, abandonment, loneliness, and trauma.
Pray for the children who are waiting. Pray for the many wonderful people who are caring for orphaned, homeless, and fostered children. And pray for our wonderful families who are choosing to pursue adoption!
