At Joy Of My Heart Adoption Services (JOMHAS), we believe that every child deserves a loving and permanent home. We are pleased to partner with the Missouri Children's Division to find loving homes for children who are too often overlooked for adoption: 

• · Children eight years of age and older
• · Sibling Groups
• · Children of any age with medical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional needs. 

Our adoption process is designed to ensure the best possible outcome for both the child and the adoptive family. Our process includes a home study, background checks, and counseling to prepare families for the responsibilities of adoption.  We'll guide you through state adoption requirements, provide support during the adoption and finalization process, and educate you about post-adoption community resources.

Families who adopt Missouri children may be eligible for assistance from the Missouri Children’s Division for coverage of home study fees and other adoption-related expenses, up to a maximum allowed limit once an adoption is finalized. Adoption-related legal expenses are covered by the Children’s Division.  Children adopted from Missouri foster care are eligible to receive health insurance through MOHealthnet until their 18th birthday.   Families may receive a monthly maintenance allowance for their child(ren) from state resources, as well as assistance with ongoing specialized services such as counseling or therapies.   

Adoption can be overwhelming, but we are here to help. Our agency offers a range of resources and support for families throughout the adoption process.  We are dedicated to making the adoption journey as smooth as possible.

Children in foster care come from diverse backgrounds and are looking for loving and stable homes. Many have experienced hardship and trauma and need a loving family to help them heal.
